Although intense pulsed light is not laser light it can be hazardous with reported examples of permanent eye injury in the literature and numerous skin burns. Understanding the light and laser basics is key to avoiding adverse incidence and achieving optimal therapeutic outcomes.

You will find this information on the introduction page for each module before you book to take the course. Typically, the average learner completes the Laser Physics & Safety Laser User ‘Core of Knowledge’ course in 2 – 3 days working on it part-time.

Distance learning offers you an alternative to attending expensive face-to-face training and allows you to complete courses at a time that is convenient to you and at a pace best-suited to your learning speed. All you need is to be a fairly competent reader and have access to a computer and the internet.

The Laser Physics & Safety Laser User course work is all completed online and assessed in sections by multiple-choice questions. You can only progress to the next unit once you have achieved an acceptable pass in the previous section.

Our laser theory and practical application courses are quality assured customised programmes of study that are bespoke to Online Laser Training and not available on the UK regulated framework. However, our programmes have been mapped to the relevant UK National Occupational Standards (NOS) and aligned to the regulated framework meaning they are equivalent in academic terms to Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications.
